Bill Clinton Ethics: Your life must not affect mine
Jesus Ethics: My life must affect yours
When a man kneels in the presence of God in private, God tells him to bring is prayed life into the presence of man in public.
As John Owen said, “…but what that minister is on his knees in secret before God Almighty, that he is and no more.” We may rightly say, “but what a man is on his knees in secret before God Almighty, that he is and no more.”
It was privation that ruined humanity: the attempt to live outside the presence of God.
God now seeks to ruin privation in humanity: everything is brought into the presence of God.
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
